This initiative is an opportunity for professionals with experience in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science who wish to work at the interface between technology, education, and social impact.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The course is part of an agreement between Ilum\/CNPEM (Brazilian Center for Research in Energy and Materials) and the Government of Para\u00edba to train public school teachers, lasting six months. The tutors will work with Para\u00edba\u2019s state teachers until December, supporting training on the critical and ethical use of artificial intelligence and its application in the educational context. The program will emphasize real-world problems, especially in the areas of sustainability and the environment. For this position, Ilum seeks candidates with a strong technical background, a communicative profile, and experience in education or tutoring.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cMore than technical expertise, we are looking for people who know how to engage with diverse audiences, since the participating teachers will have very different backgrounds\u201d, explains Felippe Colombari, who heads the program. \u201cThe idea is that AI should be presented as a tool to support teaching, in an ethical and responsible manner, rather than as something that replaces the role of the teacher\u201d, he says.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Candidates must live within a 200 km radius of Campinas.<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In total,\u00a0<strong>24 tutors<\/strong>\u00a0will be selected, divided into two categories:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><strong>16 tutors at the undergraduate-<\/strong><strong>level<\/strong>, focused on providing closer supervision to teachers in training, working daily on the course, supporting activities, interacting in forums, and offering support via the Moodle platform;<\/li>\n<li><strong>8 tutors at the postgraduate-level<\/strong>, responsible for supporting the pedagogical coordination, supervising undergraduate tutors, and assisting with more advanced conceptual demands.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The positions are intended for candidates with proven experience in Artificial Intelligence or Data Science, regardless of their original field of study. A specific degree in computer science is not required, provided the candidate demonstrates prior experience through courses, academic transcripts, or certifications.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The course is\u00a0<strong>online<\/strong>, with the possibility of occasional in-person meetings. Therefore, the public call is only open to candidates who reside within a radius of up to 200 kilometers from Campinas (SP).<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Fellowship and selection process<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The selected tutors will be appointed for a fixed term, receiving monthly stipends of R$ 850 for undergraduate-level tutors and R$ 1,250 for postgraduate-level tutors, and do not constitute a permanent employment relationship, as stipulated in the official public notice.
